Bio

Where the hell do you start with these things? Does anyone ever read them? Do they care? Probably not. But just in case you are even remotely interested…

I've been hitting things with sticks for fun since I was tiny and beat the ever living snot out of my Gran’s saucepans. Apparently. I don’t remember. Maybe this was where it started. Maybe I just needed firmer limits setting. Or Ritalin. Certainly it didn’t do the saucepans any great favours.

I got my first actual drum kit at 14 and that was...a while ago.

I genuinely like doing dep gigs; I like learning new stuff and it mixes things up a bit. And playing things you might never have played live before with people you haven’t necessarily met is always a challenge. I like a challenge, me. Unless it involves team sports. In which case not so much.

Anyway, if you need a drummer even at short notice, then get in contact and let’s get it sorted out. If I’m available and the specifics of the gig are do-able (notice, set, distance, venue etc) then I’ll do my damndest to make the entire experience as seamless as possible for your band.

There's a lot more information on my site - link below.

My Gear

I have five kits (three acoustic and two eKits) and more snare drums than is remotely sensible. It's all on my site if you are struggling to get to sleep.

Noise Limiting Options

More than happy to play anything from a full multi-tom/multi-cymbal acoustic kit to a small jazz kit to an eKit depending on just how low a volume you need. I always use in-ears anyway, so I don't need a wedge monitor.

Repertoire

I've been around the block enough to know most standards and to be able to cope with more genres of music. I have hundreds of charts already for short-notice gigs, and again, it's all on my site. But here's a representative sample.

when it comes to dependable drummers, Chris is your man. He does his homework, is a real stickler for getting things right and has a work ethic second to none. A great player and a real commodity to any band and line-up.
